The sanatorium «Poltava» (the former name of the sanatorium) was constructed and admitted its first patients in December 1974, and in 1989 here one of the best therapeutic mud-baths in Ukraine was started , which brought to the sanatorium the all-Soviet Union fame. At present the Crimean “Poltava” is still well-known in the former soviet republics and even much farther the borders of the CIS countries. Recently here receive treatment patients from Germany, Israel, Canada and other countries. Every year the sanatorium welcomes around 2000 patients from near abroad and other foreign countries. The sanatorium was repeatedly received prestigious awards from Ukrainian health resort organizations and European resort-tourist unions.

The sanatorium disposes of four four-storey buildings and 30 summer cottages of total occupancy up to 800 persons. Buildings are at a distance of 10-15 meters from the sea. Each room has the hot water supply from the mineral spring. Two swimming pools (one of them – with the thermal mineral water) and sauna are functioning. Covered heated passages from dormitory blocks to the balneary provide for attendance treatment procedures with comfort regardless the weather nor season.

For the convenience of vacationists, on the territory of the sanatorium there are a post office, trunk-line public telephone, guarded car park , breakdown truck (acquiring air and rail way tickets), cafe, bar, cinema hall, room with sport training equipment, bank branch.

There are discos and concerts held in the sanatorium. There are sightseeing guided excursions through the places of interests of the Crimea.
